Vicious Sound is a full-service audio company based in Los Angeles, delivering world-class sound design, editorial, implementation, and audio direction for video games, cinematics, film, television, trailers, and multimedia experiences.
Our team is made up of highly skilled professionals with deep backgrounds in both interactive and linear sound. We specialize in interactive and linear sound design, field recording, voiceover recording, foley, music composition, and technical audio, working fluently in industry-standard tools like Wwise, Unreal Engine, and various proprietary pipelines developed by our clients.

Our history
Foundation
Founded in January 2019 by Erick and Samantha Ocampo, Vicious Sound began as a boutique sound company rooted in a shared love of storytelling, immersive sound, and creative excellence. What started as a two-person effort quickly evolved into a trusted partner for top-tier developers, filmmakers, and studios across the globe.
Recognition
With a foundation in both game audio and film post-production, Vicious Sound gained recognition for delivering high-impact audio across a wide variety of genres and formats. The studio’s early success was driven by Erick’s 21+ years in game audio and his nearly decade-long experience in film and television, where his focus on linear sound design and emotional storytelling helped define the studio’s creative DNA.

A key part of Vicious Sound’s growth has been Erick’s mentorship approach, fostering a team that blends technical expertise with strong creative vision. Today, the team includes seasoned audio directors, sound designers, foley artists, and technical implementers—each bringing a unique voice while embracing Vicious Sound’s core philosophy: story-first sound design powered by innovation, authenticity, and collaboration.
